Creamy Pan Fried Chicken

Creamy smothered chicken thighs seasoned to perfection and cooked long and slow. Serve over fluffy rice or mashed potatoes for the ultimate comfort meal!

Ingredients
1.0 lb Chicken Thighs
2.0 tsp Garlic Powder
1.0 tsp Paprika
1.0 tsp Oregano
0.25 tsp Chili Powder
1.0 c All Purpose Flour
Yellow Onion
Minced Garlic
2.0 c Chicken Broth
0.5 c Heavy Cream
Red Pepper Flakes
2.0 tbsp Butter
⚠️ salt and pepper to taste
Canola Oil (for frying)
Parsley Flakes (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
2. In a small bowl, combine the paprika, oregano, chili powder, and granulated garlic.
3. Season the chicken with the spice mixture, salt, and pepper.
4. Add the remaining spice mixture to the all-purpose flour.
5. Coat the chicken with the seasoned flour, shake off any excess.
6. Cook the chicken in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side.
7. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
8. Add the onions to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes.
9. Stir in the garlic and red crushed pepper.
10. Season with salt and pepper.
11. Add the butter and 1 tbsp of the seasoned flour.
12. Cook for 1 minute.
13. Add the chicken broth and cook for 2-3 minutes.
14. Stir in the heavy cream.
15. Place the chicken back in the skillet.
16. Place the skillet in the oven and cook for one hour.
17. Garnish with parsley and enjoy!
